Blog and Bed Rules

First and foremost this was brought to my attention by Mr. Ed Schipul.

This first link talks about blog etiquette.  This post can be most appreciated only after reading this article which explains  40 mistakes men make while having sex with woman.

City of Eloy

Some of you may or may not know that I went on a little adventure to California not too long ago. Well on the (painfully long) drive back to the Great State of Texas I came across this little piece of Americana and I had to take a picture and share:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I didn’t get a chance to stop by and check it out but on their website they tout themselves as the city “Right in the Heart of Arizona’s Future”. I also hear the dining is delicious.

Paper Cuts?

Just when you think you’re the ultimate fan, a gem like this comes and puts your face in its place. I’m green with envy.

The Cheapest Days to Buy Certain Items

Yahoo Finance made a nice list of when to buy items for cheap. This link was brought to my attention by the curious mind of William Holtkamp down at asklg.net

Respectance.com

An interesting site found by longstation.

Respectance.com is a website that allows you to bring together memories, photos, and friends when someone passes away.  It’s a bit strange when you think about it, but the goal is nice.  It’s a place where our technology savy generation can easily contribute to those who have moved on to the next chapter in their life.

Kim Lange a coworker and friend created a page in remembrance of her father Curley Charles Lange Jr. .  I think it’s sweet.

Easily Post a Video

This is a post dedicated to the authors of eloyz.com and wordpress in general. The site has been updated using a sweet plugin that allows you to add a youtube video simply by using brackets and the keyword “youtube.”

Example: [ youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60og9gwKh1o]

On a slightly different note you can take advantage of the technology behind http://www.downthisvideo.com.

Which allows you to easily download “flv” versions of your favorite youtube videos. That’s right, I said you can download youtube videos. Of course, this is only beneficial if you’re able to play flv’s right from your desktop.

One Day in Houston

It’s a video that shows off how great Houston is. Who can argue with that?

It’s a small reminder, showing us what a great place we live in … in case you have forgotten.

Happy 4th

Sparkler Kara

Just wondering what everyone did for their 4th of July. Mine was pretty sweet, ended up in Crosby eating BBQ, and playing “Roman Candle Wars.” I lost my favorite shirt in battle (it got a fireball hole in it). Anyone else? I’ll see if I can get some pics posted soon.

Tomorrow, Today

This world just gets faster and faster, this coming from a guy who prides himself in keeping up with “today.”  The mobile evolution is upon us and we’re still too busy playing on MySpace.  While in Michigan I was privileged enough to have a one-on-one conversation with a UI (user-interface) designer from Motorola.  Very nice well spoken young lady who was “honestly” very excited about what iPhone was offering.

Mac has done it once again, pushing the limits and leaving all developers wondering … “why didn’t we think of that?”  The young representative from Motorola proudly said she was very happy that iPhone is providing a great service for both mobile companies and mobile customers.

iPhone will slowly (not too slowly) but surely open the eyes of the consumer (that’s us) and help us realize that a mobile phone is more than just a mobile phone.  Imagine a world where you can walk around while your phone converses with other mobile phones giving you play-by-play information of the building you just passed, or the person who’s walking next to you.  Where phones are in constant search looking for those who are most likely to share an interest with you.  Where sharing a phone number is as easy as “tapping” two phones together.  You’ve heard of “click-to-talk”, is it so hard to imagine “tap to share.”

In a movie this article would be better known as foreshadowing.  I’d like to close this articles in the words of Ms. Kara Trostmann “I’m just sayin’.”
