A Whole New Mind - Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future

With the growth of transparency across the world, automation, and social-networking; it’s believed that the future might just belong to right brained thinkers.  The left brain is used to control logic while the right brain covers the imagination and the funner ends of life.

Logic can now easily be automated.  Thought of once and built into a function.  If this is the case then there’s only one place for humans to go.  A computer up to this point cannot be creative all on it’s own.  Does this mean all “serious” jobs will belong to the computer + mechanical world and we’ll be left with nothing to do but play.

This doesn’t mean that you should abandon you’re left brain completely.  It just means that you should now consider inviting your right brain a little bit more.  For some, this tasks might be easier than for others.

This is the thought in a new book by Pink called A Whole New Mind.  Think about it, or better yet … don’t.

Halo 3 Video with Real Humans

http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/last-one-standing/halo-sweeps/halo-sweeps.html

I’m not sure what this video is. It could be a sneak peek at the movie, or maybe a trailor on the actual game. All I know is, wow. If they do make a movie, and it’s anything like this … I’m so there.

University of Florida Student Tasered at Kerry Rally

I like this video more because it shows you what happened before the police arrest.

Although this video is much clearer.

I agree that he was a little loud and obnoxious, but when did that become illegal. Also, why did he get pulled … he was asking a question. I guess Kerry can only answer questions he likes. I guess I just think there was a much cleaner way of removing the student if there was a reason in the first place. You be the judge.

Google Docs Rocks - What is Google Docs?

I like this video a lot, it’s just so easy to watch.

A video that explains what google docs is and how easy it is to work with. Google and Microsoft continue to butt heads as Google attempt to enter the word-processing world and Microsoft openly admits to competing with Google via search. Google is now claimed to be recognized as a verb (google).

Capital Google is the company, while lowercase google is the verb. So does this mean when I become a big movie star; that I can use the word google freely in a movie and not owe for name dropping?

First and foremost this was brought to my attention by Mr. Ed Schipul.

This first link talks about blog etiquette.  This post can be most appreciated only after reading this article which explains  40 mistakes men make while having sex with woman.

The Cheapest Days to Buy Certain Items

Yahoo Finance made a nice list of when to buy items for cheap. This link was brought to my attention by the curious mind of William Holtkamp down at asklg.net

Respectance.com

An interesting site found by longstation.

Respectance.com is a website that allows you to bring together memories, photos, and friends when someone passes away.  It’s a bit strange when you think about it, but the goal is nice.  It’s a place where our technology savy generation can easily contribute to those who have moved on to the next chapter in their life.

Kim Lange a coworker and friend created a page in remembrance of her father Curley Charles Lange Jr. .  I think it’s sweet.
