Here We Go Again

Ok here’s the story. As most of you know I work for a company that does … “stuff.” Along with that “stuff” I also get to do some webwork. My boss gave me yet another site to build. The only real difference with the site from the others is that it had to use a “database.” Something I was extremely unfamiliar with. That’s not to say that I’m an expert now, but I’ve learned a little and I’m a-liken’. The site is about 90% built and it has to be the first site I’ve completely built from scratch and did entirely in code view. That’s right a couple of days at looking at straight code. I know most of you are like so, but to me it’s huge deal ’cause I didn’t think it was possible to just stare at code and see the picture in your head.
Moving on … I took a look at my code and man was it ugly. Of course at the time when I first built it I thought it was the greatest thing since the McRib. Ok … I know what a lot of you are saying now, who cares what the code looks like as long as the page looks cool. Well that’s just the thing, it’s hard to fix, update, and upgrade something when it looks like crap on the inside. Sure the cars pretty, but don’t open that hood. Point being I’m re-evaluting eloyz.com once again. I think most of you can agree that it needed some sort of a boob face lift. I can only promise that this change will bring more good than bad.
For those of you who use to post on the old site, you have not been forgotten. I will be re-hiring “most” of you to this new empire shorty.
